Influenza Virus Transmission Is Dependent on Relative Humidity and Temperature

Posted on October 21st, 2007 in Cold and Flu, Immune System by Thomas

Research by the Department of Microbiology, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, published on PLoS Pathogens, shows that and virus spread easier when the humidity and temperature is relatively low.

The research suggests that the viruses survive longer and spread easier at an ambient temperature of 5° C/42° F, and a low relative humidity,  20 to 40%.

In the United States alone, an average of 41,400 deaths and 1.68 million hospitalizations are attributed to each year.

The cooler temperatures and lower humidity doesn’t  seem to have an effect on the itself.

Nicotine in Mother’s Milk Affects Babies Sleep Quality

Posted on October 15th, 2007 in Sleep Aids, Smoking by Thomas

A study by Julie A. Mennella, published in Pediatrics (2007, 120: 497-502), finds that babies that are after the mother had a smoke sleep less, less deep and are more agitated during their sleep.

Smoking doesn’t seem to affect the quantity of milk the babies drink.

This is contrary to the believe of many mothers who think that smoking doesn’t affect their offspring as long as they don’t get .

If your baby is a bit restless, has troubles falling asleep, feel free to download the free MP3 “Sleep and Time Zone Balance” from our website.

Pulled Groin Heals Faster

Posted on October 7th, 2007 in Sport by Thomas

Wednesday evening there was another hockey game, didn’t have time to warm up and sure enough, pulled my groin during the first shift.

Decided to let the Sonopathy Injury Balance run for about 24 hours straight. Attached one earphone right on the pulled muscle.

Normally it takes about a week to get somewhat better and the second week, I can start working out or play hockey again (not the first time that happened).

I had an interesting “warm” sensation in the pulled muscle, it was kind of “pulsating” the whole time. It felt a lot better already the next morning. All pain was gone within 72 hours. I started stretching and exercising it lightly on the third day.

I’m pretty amazed on how effective that sound helped my body along.

No Sore Muscles After a Hockey with Sonopathy

Posted on September 30th, 2007 in Sport by Thomas

Wednesday and Saturday this week, I played for the first time in 1.5 years. Normally that means, I’ll be very sore the next day, for at least 2-3 days.

I thought, that’ll be a great test for the Sonopathy Injury Balance.

Wednesday night I put the Injury Balance together with the Sleep and Time Zone Balance on my iPod and let it play all night. The earphones attached to my lower abdominal area.

Saturday night I put the earphones on me for just over an hour.

Both days, I had no sore muscle in my body. I could feel that I’d worked out, but no soreness. Normally it would have been “difficult” to get in and out of the car, or, out of bed for that matter.

Not this time. The Injury Balance is suggested to help the body “balance” and help balance depleted minerals and start the recovery process immediately.

Pollen Allergies Self Experiment - Week 3

Posted on September 14th, 2007 in Allergies by Thomas

I’m now in the middle of the 3rd week of allergy season, the (pollen.com) is just below 8, which means, that my symptoms are not bad if I don’t do anything. Going into , a pollen count below 8 is not an issue, however, during or coming out of allergy season, that pollen count is still a problem.

Not this time. Looks like, because I was practically symptom free using the Sonopathy allergy mixes, I’m off my iPod and practically symptom free. I love it. Read me previous entries on how I used my iPod to stay symptom free.

I also went on a 10 day fast on Tuesday. Playing around with some sounds. Stay tuned. I’ll keep you posted.

Pollen Allergies Self Experiment - End of Week 2

Posted on September 10th, 2007 in Allergies, Sleep Aids by Thomas

Made it through the 2 weeks of now with hardly any symptoms. There is not much to report. The only experiment I did was to move the to within 1/2 inch of my belly button.

Talk about a difference!

It kind of makes sense, after all, through the belly button we got our very first supply of food, for a whole 9 months.

My sleep has been even deeper and I had even less allergy symptoms and was less affected, my energy level was higher.

I can only recommend to put the earphones close to the belly button. As a rule of thumb, keep the earphones within the width of your thumb of your bellybutton.

My next experiment that I’ll start tomorrow and in parallel with the , is a cleansing fast. I’ll use the Sonopathy sounds to help me along, listening to and our , and other mixes.

Stay tuned.
