Research by the Department of Microbiology, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, published on PLoS Pathogens, shows that flu and cold virus spread easier when the humidity and temperature is relatively low.

The research suggests that the viruses survive longer and spread easier at an ambient temperature of 5° C/42° F, and a low relative humidity, 20 to 40%.

In the United States alone, an average of 41,400 deaths and 1.68 million hospitalizations are attributed to influenza each year.

The cooler temperatures and lower humidity doesn’t seem to have an effect on the immune system itself.

Wednesday evening there was another hockey game, didn’t have time to warm up and sure enough, pulled my groin during the first shift.

Decided to let the Sonopathy Injury Balance run for about 24 hours straight. Attached one earphone right on the pulled muscle.

Normally it takes about a week to get somewhat better and the second week, I can start working out or play hockey again (not the first time that happened).

I had an interesting “warm” sensation in the pulled muscle, it was kind of “pulsating” the whole time. It felt a lot better already the next morning. All pain was gone within 72 hours. I started stretching and exercising it lightly on the third day.

I’m pretty amazed on how effective that sound helped my body along.

Wednesday and Saturday this week, I played ice hockey for the first time in 1.5 years. Normally that means, I’ll be very sore the next day, for at least 2-3 days.

I thought, that’ll be a great test for the Sonopathy Injury Balance.

Wednesday night I put the Injury Balance together with the Sleep and Time Zone Balance on my iPod and let it play all night. The earphones attached to my lower abdominal area.

Saturday night I put the earphones on me for just over an hour.

Both days, I had no sore muscle in my body. I could feel that I’d worked out, but no soreness. Normally it would have been “difficult” to get in and out of the car, or, out of bed for that matter.

Not this time. The Injury Balance is suggested to help the body “balance” lactic acid and help balance depleted minerals and start the recovery process immediately.

Not this time. Looks like, because I was practically symptom free using the Sonopathy allergy mixes, I’m off my iPod and practically symptom free. I love it. Read me previous entries on how I used my iPod to stay symptom free.

I also went on a 10 day fast on Tuesday. Playing around with some detox sounds. Stay tuned. I’ll keep you posted.

Made it through the 2 weeks of pollen season now with hardly any symptoms. There is not much to report. The only experiment I did was to move the earphones to within 1/2 inch of my belly button.

Talk about a difference!

It kind of makes sense, after all, through the belly button we got our very first supply of food, for a whole 9 months.

My sleep has been even deeper and I had even less allergy symptoms and was less affected, my energy level was higher.

I can only recommend to put the earphones close to the belly button. As a rule of thumb, keep the earphones within the width of your thumb of your bellybutton.

My next experiment that I’ll start tomorrow and in parallel with the allergy season, is a cleansing fast. I’ll use the Sonopathy sounds to help me along, listening to detox mixes and our vitamin, mineral and other mixes.

Stay tuned.

Not as good as the old location, towards the hip bones on my lower abs. Will move them back down tonight. I slept all the way through, but didn’t feel as rested when I woke up.

The only other product I’m using is an occasional drop of lavender oil, either directly under my nose or in a diffuser. I diffuse oils all year long, not as much lavender as during allergy season.

Yesterday, during the day, I forgot to take the air purifier/ionizer to the office. I still felt great all day long.

I should probably just stop experimenting and “enjoy” the rest of the allergy season, now that I barely have any symptoms going and know what I have to do to keep it this way

Oh well… last week everything worked well and I slept great every night… now I have 2 nights in a row where sleep wasn’t great. Sunday, I fell asleep without the allergy night mix on, last night, the earphones came off, half asleep, I’m rolling around from 2 to 4 until I wake up enough to realize that the earphones where off my body. Time to use some tape.

Doing o.k. today. Got some late sleep in and all day today is actually going pretty well, despite the fact that I got messed up 2 nights in a row.

Energy is up, sinuses are open and all is dry. Head feels great. Will get some good work done today.

Ahh… night from hell. Fell asleep without the iPod earphones attached to my body. Was a total wreck by 5 am. The allergies fully kicked in. When I put the earphones back on my lower abs and within 10 minutes my sinuses started clearing up. Still took me until 3 pm to fully recover, the missing sleep was the worst. Fell asleep in front of the TV, which gives me a headache even when I’m healthy, good thing that doesn’t more than 1 or 2 times a year.

Will make sure that I do not fall asleep without my allergy song playing into my tummy.

Having the energy balance in the mix certainly helps today. By about 7 pm I was back to normal.

I for sure know that I still have allergies, I just don’t have any symptoms when the Sonopathy tunes are playing 24/7.

Here is more information about the allergy songs I’m using
